Arena #2: Sumo (lightweight edition)

Sumo Arena!

Image

Build a contraption in one of the recessed holes - and get both balls into the opposite goal! That means you'll have to push or drag the other ball in with you!

There's a bit of a twist though: There's an elevator that lifts you out of the hole (hidden in the terrain). It's a little glitchy so your contraption has to survive that too!

Here's my introductory winner-mobile: http://fantasticcontraption.com/?designId=51729

Edit: New rule, only 4 powered wheels allowed. Green wheels are unrestricted.

This is a crazy one. I like the use of the elevator glitch.

There needs to be a limit on the number of wheels or else people will just make a ton of em.

Allright, worked well in the soccer thread... limit of 4 rotating wheels? any number of green wheels is ok.

Edit:

Here is officiallyhaphazard's level with all but four wheels deleted on each side. Right hand side is next up! go go go

Dang, I was too late. (http://FantasticContraption.com/?designId=53114)
Close to the same design. Yours works more efficiently anyways. :)

So here's my new one: http://FantasticContraption.com/?designId=53204

Does this count? :geek:

Edit: Oooops. It worked when I saved it but not when I replayed it. Here's the tweaked one (I think it has something to do with the customized chain links; they don't hold their length after going back into the level).

Yeah, it's all about timing in some cases. My brute gets stuck in the elevator for so long and then leaves a gap underneath very briefly. Here I moved him slightly and he wins. (had to tie down the blue balls so I could move the whole contraption) - http://FantasticContraption.com/?designId=57001

Being the rule-junkie that I am... you guys are using too many wheels. :geek:

Nay, what he said was "Edit: New rule, only 4 powered wheels allowed. Green wheels are unrestricted."
