First thing that occurs to me. Not elegant, but it works. Till someone comes up with something prettier!

Re-boomerang.
Awash: this one goes to the goal, comes back to the construction box for a half a minute, and then back up through the goal again.

(Of course, not what I was trying to do)

Good Job. Needless to say the first thing that I thought of didn't come close to working.

I rather like that one. Solutions that don't use winches kind of appeal to me, since it's my first instinct to build one. I like to see stuff that wouldn't necessarily occur to me immediately.

I know how you don't like a mess, so I just added 2 pieces.

(Takes a while, but the bridge finally goes, and then the ball settles in the box after the 2nd excursion to the left.)

I was just about to post this challenge myself, but I see I was too late with coming up with the idea.
My name for it was going to be "vacation challenge".
Anyways, here are the ones I came up with. I tried to be as minimalist as possible (at least when I could think of a way), and use no chains.

01. Rolling Away (2 pieces)- http://FantasticContraption.com/?designId=319236
02. Reach Up (4 pieces)- http://FantasticContraption.com/?designId=319310
03. Mind the Gap (9 pieces)- http://FantasticContraption.com/?designId=319384
04. Junkyard (many pieces)- http://FantasticContraption.com/?designId=321799
05. The Wall (15 pieces)- http://FantasticContraption.com/?designId=320998 * This one works for a mysterious reason.

07. Full-Up (5 pieces)- http://FantasticContraption.com/?designId=319201 * Humorous method

I tweaked the Awash level so that it doesn't take so long to run.

This is my design for Mission To Mars. (No winches used)
http://FantasticContraption.com/?designId=533266

It's based on my idea for Down Under (although this one doesn't return home)

Here's one for the two-level bonus round. The target ball starts in the bottom area, goes into the goal, and then returns to the bottom construction area.

I've always liked by pitch and catch solution to Mars. (But if you let it run long enough it blows up.)

LOL!
I was doing the backwards catapult, but then was trying to pull the ball back down back. Much better solution ^.^

Thanks. The idea actually just kind of came to me; I wasn't trying to make a boomerang, just doing level 21 to get the icon checked off, and when I saw the ball come back around it occurred to me that all I'd have to do was put that little stopper on it and I'd have a boomerang.

I saw a solution to the two-level bonus round where someone made an over-the-shoulder catapult and that's the first thing that I thought of when I saw the new level. Here's my version of the catapult boomerang:

And here's another version of the two-level bonus round
