Pretty certain this works. I'll have to leave it running for a few hours to confirm, but it gets the block into the goal after about 20 mins, and the wheel is left spinning in mid air so I can't see it working its way further forward.

Nah, you got it. I knew it was possible by was too committed to the design to change. I almost started crying by modifying a hair to see the trajectory blocked by the win screen over and over again.
