You added another goal ball and another level.. I'm not exactly sure how it got easier. Is easier because you removed one completely inconsequential ball or made the goal slightly larger even though it was plenty big enough?

Edit: not trying to be mean or anything but it seems like this line is largely being ignored:
To keep this game from getting tedious, try to maintain the balance of the level... i.e. don't just keep adding obstacles. Make something harder and something easier.

I'm not sure, but I think that might be why that there seem to be only 3 or 4 people playing this little game.

I think that level had bad design, I was able to move a ball I don't think you wanted people moving.

I was actually trying to make it easier and with more choices. The new ball can be moved to any level and incorporated as a idler or rolled. The starting area is larger. The big ball should roll a little easier and settle down in the hole farther. There is another entrance to the goal. If you think it is too hard, edit it to cut it back some if you want. I looked at this when the yellow pole was there so I thought that seemed to be the level of difficulty people were enjoying. If I am making it too hard I apologize, and I will ask others to make the levels if I solve something, then I can see what the consensus is on the difficulty.

Ward, I didn't think your level was too bad, but it could have been made a bit easier. Adding another goal item always makes things a lot harder...

As for the newest level, one of the goal pieces (the one half in half out) can be moved directly to the goal area.

That's... terrible, but awesome at the same time. I say go with 2 balls and call it a day... that should move life back towards easier solutions...

OfficiallyHaphazard,
So do you think that is good or bad? It actually makes the level more flexible in that people can choose to use either 2 or 3 goal pieces depending on their preference.

NightStryke,
Ok, I will just ask others to do designs of a while if I solve a level. Is there any way to ask for feedback about a level design before going live with it?

Thanks for the replies.

Ward, I don't mind either way. I was just letting him know.
I think everyone who knows about that trick will put it right in the goal.

Is that even possible? Did you have a specific solution in mind? You could get through the bottom easily enough, but you need to somehow get something over the top to knock down that yellow stick, and I don't see how it can be done.

We need to stop with these incredibly hard levels. Unless I missed the mark, this thread is about making moderately difficult levels that anyone can solve, and the entertainment comes from who can solve it first and gets to make the next edit, which keeps the competition high and the levels continuously shuffled so the thread doesn't go stagnant like it does every time one of these kinds of levels pops up.

Tis one is awfully hard. I have one bal in but can not get the second maybe soneone has the other half or an idea about coming around the back I am stumped from here.

Well, I got close:

http://FantasticContraption.com/?designId=153834

But, as you can see, the goal area is not big enough to hold both ball-pushers on the same level, so they have to stack, which requires either some mechanism to do so from the front or some mechanism to come in from the back. *sigh*

NightStryke,

Your idler ball was the key. The first ball goal position can be adjusted by the angle of the starting balls. The longer they balance, the farther back on the ramp they fall and end up in a slightly different position in goal.

Solution:

http://FantasticContraption.com/?designId=153976

I will let someone else make a new level so it gets back to par.
