Good luck!

That is a great idea, I used it to make a solution for up the stairs and big ball:

Now all that remain are four balls, tube, and awash?

None of them work for me (mac), so I tweaked them a bit.
Big Ball: http://FantasticContraption.com/?designId=4547007
And Up the Stairs, after some fails: http://FantasticContraption.com/?designId=4547053
http://FantasticContraption.com/?designId=4547101
http://FantasticContraption.com/?designId=4547139

To be honest I hate both of them, they're so glitchy, it ruins the fun.

That's weird. All four of flagitious' solutions work for me, but none of yours do.

Flagitious is amazing...although the unpossible solve is my favorite.

That one works for me, but brings up an interesting question: Why does it seem like the blue catapults only work for 50% of the people that view them?

Because it's based on a glitch.

Is breaking a water rod considered to be a glitch? All of Flags waterpults worked on my PC. Maybe weasel or someone could settle if it is a glitch or a legitimate way to use a water rod. It is a bit troublesome if it doesn't work for everyone. Then again, given the handicap of water rods only, it might be the only way.

It is NOT a glitch, it's stress. It occurs on all joints, but if the rod is too short it breaks. People solve difficult badges with a chain breaking (sometimes), and that isn't considered glitchy.

I'm undecided whether these chain breakings should be included or not. Usually I'm ok with glitches (like the go-through-the-walls glitch) but this one seems to ruin the whole idea of using only water rods.

I dunno. Maybe it is normal, but does utilizing it to make a "blue catapult" seem almost like "cheating"?

Up The Stairs, Big Ball, Awash, and Tube were all previously unsolved before this glitch. For Tube, it's damn near impossible to get the ball up there without launching it somehow. Same goes for Awash. Maybe categorizing them differently would resolve this (i.e. a subgroup called "launchers" or something similar that has any contraption that uses a broken joint to launch something). That way, people could still make solutions for the levels without utilizing this glitch.

No, I disagree. I think that cheating wouldn't cut it, and you shouldn't get a subcategory for cheating.

To me, a glitch would be cheating. A glitch, however, would be an unintended side effect. If water rods breaking was intended, then it isn't a glitch to break one, and it isn't cheating to utilize a feature of the game. On the other hand, if it were intended, the software would handle it correctly and it would run the same on almost all computers.

So, if the waterpult is truly based on a glitch and does not work correctly on all computers because it utilizes and unintended side effect which is not always handled correctly by the software, then it is just another cheat.

To me the issue is: Were water rods intended to be broken in this fashion? If they were, one would think that the solutions would run consistently on almost all computers. They work great on mine.
