Seems to me there ought to be a blue badge for this topic, by analogy to brown.

In case the admins want to add them, I 'shopped up some miniature blue badges from the brown images.

Words don't cause me any pain. any time a person is offended by a word is ridiculous. say, if I said

pode

was a "bad" word, would you be affected? No offense meant, I just find it odd that people get so worked up about it.

Well, "brown" applies to a design made of both wood and water rods. If there was a "blue" badge, then there should also be another, different "brown" badge, considering that making a contraption of entirely wood rods presents its own challenges.

It's not what someone says, but why they say it. And, in this case, I didn't take that to be offensive, but rather an exclamation of surprise or amazement; the wonders of personal semantics.

True. So really there should be:

green: no powered wheels
"rods" or "supergreen": only rods
"brown": only brown rods
"blue": only blue rods

Except that we're all pretty used to the current definition of "brown" so I suspect it's entrenched. So, perhaps:

green: no powered wheels
brown: no wheels
water badge: only water rods
wood badge: only wood rods

I agree with this.
And for badges maybe a small tidal wave type thing or a stream and a log or a tree?

Good point. However, blue contraptions are manifestly more difficult than brown. In fact, I'd say there is a bigger difficulty increase from brown to blue than from green to brown.

The only problem is some levels are not possible as blue, but some levels are not possible as boomerangs or champions either, so it's not really an issue.

try my competition: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=1861 - it gives extra credit for wood only and water only.
