We now welcome resetxc to the comp, making 23 participants. Who will fill the ever needed 24th spot?

With less then 24 hours left until the qualifier is due, how about a leader board for the top 5 or 10. Kind of a Jdel like teaser.

Hmmm....interesting idea. I guess it can't do any harm :)

The top 10 leaderboard as it stands:

01. lord_hamybal
02. patacoman
03. Sp3000
04. JHawk4
05. cooljenny
06. compscure
07. Cruiser40
08. WizBang
09. bsking
10. uuuiiiooop

Some top names for the top 10. I wonder if there'll be any shake-up before round 1 is released. Best of luck to everyone!

Optimal Solutions Comp - ROUND 1: Due Jan 2nd - $15 prize!

Postby ID36 on Tue Dec 28, 2010 8:37 am

Qualifier results are now up! Congrats to Remy on winning immunity. Round 1 is a touch harder but not impossible. Trying my best to stagger the difficulty as we progress through the rounds. 16 people will advance to round 2 which means 10 people face elimination this round. Best of luck to everyone and enjoy the level!

I had to start a new account to chat here

I can still access my original account on FC, but my forum password will not work anymore. I'll play this one on the sidelines, and post my solve after the rounds are over. R1 is an easy one, but it looks like a challenging comp. Im gonna have to practice up a bit, its been months since ive played. Bring it!

You can have your forum password reset and sent to your email address. Either way, I look forward to seeing your solutions :)

In other news, it looks like everyone who has submitted will be going through since I've received submissions from 11 people. Please remember to submit because there's less than 36 hours left.

Also, happy new year to all!

yea ive deleted board cookies, resent the temp password, resent the activation link, signed in and out of FC...(multiple tries).. I cant get anything to work :/ I think the double page advance syndrome that the forum has is causing 2 passwords to be created or something. Honestly i dont know.... i just know i cant recover my forum account through the conventional forum tools. Im not sure who to email about it.

My humble suggestion to everyone - - - - - DONT click the "logout" button  Cuz thats what i accidentally did.

Oh and Happy New Year everyone! its great to see you all!!!

This comp needs some chatter. So, far I've only managed a "shakey-ground" solution, so I will be grateful to those who don't submit for keeping me in. Thank you and Happy New Year!!!!

Well, as far as chatter is concerned, I am rather proud of my single blue rod solution . . . Happy New Year

Yep, I've decided to release R2 ahead of time because a couple of other contestants will be away for the next few days and I'd rather not have everyone drop out like this. I've had 15 submissions for round 1 so everyone's still going through regardless of their score. Still hoping for more solutions before the deadline. Please don't forget guys ;)
