Man, so I guess I am just really unlucky then? I can't play with music apparently because the 2 times I have tried my ipod crashed, and even without it I can't do any of the online things because once I find a level I want to play, it crashes, and I can't see other peoples solutions because it crashes immediately. I have already done all the regular levels, so I guess I just have to wait and hope it gets better?

Oh, also for 1.2 (or a future update), you should make a link system (like the PC's version's) in which we could email a link to our firends with the app and once the user clicks the link (on their iPod/iPhone), the app loads with the design loaded up. Look at Tap Tap Revenge's or Topple's Challenge Mode for an example.

I have vers 1.1, 2.2.1, I know how to reset/restart/restore my iPod, I know programs like "mail" and "music" occupy resources after you quit them, but FC crashes as happily with or without restarts/resets/restores. Not mentioned so far: FC is the only app where my WIFI-connection fails regularly. Once quitted (or crashed) the connection is restored automatically.

Why so defiant? We LIKE this app, we're not into slagging off you guys! We know least of all what is going on.
I fear the worst for coming versions if you cannot ack the problems we mention...

Weasel, I sent you a video of the app crashing, even though I had to cut most of it out due to attachment limits.

I'm not defiant - I'm clearing stating we've gotten a response from a few forum folks (around 3-5) and a response from apple on the issue...

other than that it's pretty quiet around here

I would be defiant if I said "We haven't received any complaints whatsoever" :P

Ok then, not defiant, but at least "defensive" :-)

Users still in the default designs won't have problems. Just the idi.. people having an on-line account and lots of designs may be affected.

My offer of willing to test an ad-hoc version of FC for debugging remains open.

I too am having problems with the app.

Almost everything works fine, its just some online capabilities are buggy/crash the app.

For example, any time I try and view other players' designs online, the app crashes. No matter what. Even after restart/memory clear using Free Memory 1.4. After (and before) the crash, I still have upwards of 30 Megabytes of free memory for apps to use. Every time.

It also crashes randomly when viewing/uploading my own designs.

I understand that the number of bug reports may be low, but that doesn't mean that you should ignore the problems that your app obviously has.

We're not ignoring the problems the app has - we simply can't recreate them and have been thus far informed (by APPLE) that it's a problem with the device.

They could very well be incorrect, and we are still trying to find out what else could be wrong with it, but don't think that we are ignoring it/avoiding it/etc..

But with no idea what the problem is or how to make it happen on a dozen different iPods, it'll be some time before we can fix it.

I'm getting the same problem. Everything was working fine until I completed Under Over and tried to upload the design. The upload failed and ever since anytime I view other users solutions of this level or any other level it crashes my iPhone. This occurs even after a hard restart.

Hi weasel, any idea when (if ever) version 1.2 will be released (which was supposed to include the ability to edit your levels after they have been saved)?

Come to think of it, this is exactly what happened to me. Everything was fine until an upload failed, and now it crashes every time that I try to view other people's designs.

Ditto, same thing for me. There you go weasel, you have your problem and plenty others. Now fix them please! Have you considered the possibility that your iPods you test with are like super iPods? They don't appear to have any of the problems that the rest of us get...

I've let our iPhone developers know and they aren't having any luck reproducing the problem. Once we figure it out we'll release a patch to fix it.

I've not been contacted for extra info, or to try an ad-hoc version, or something else so you can reproduce my experiences.
I can imagine you don't it (economically) feasible to fix this, but right now I feel quite offended.

I have a few questions:
1)Weasel, have you seen the video I sent you of the app crashing?
2)Also, why don't you just fix the missing "Edit Level" feature for 1.2 so you can remind the paying customers that don't visit the forums that inXile is out there working. (leave a message to email sales@fantasticcontraption.com to report crashes in the update description)
3)Don't you find it weird how your test servers always work perfectly with new FC (PC version) updates, such as the new website? Maybe your iPods are perfect too.

I have a few answers!

1. Yes
2. Releasing updates via Apple's service is a big pain in the butt and we don't want to have to go through it twice, for many reasons. We want to get all the updates out at once.
3. Thanks for the sarcasm, but we *can* recreate problems had on the website. We *can't* recreate problems found on the iPhone (yet).

and a bonus answer!

4. Numbering things makes you sound like a royal tard.
