Discuss Fantastic Contraption's new website.
My Two Cents:
With FCR intergation, the Fantastic Contest, more level, and so much more, this update is truly fantastic. Unfortuantly, there are numerous bugs with the site, the FCR, and the gameplay (viewing designs, ect.).

I like it a lot too, and I can live with the bugs for now. But I probably won't be competing in the Fantastic Contest... As much as I want to. I can't beat those levels!

I really wish you could have been the designer for the Fantastic Contest levels. In my opinion, those levels suck! Maybe you could make your own "Fantastic Contest" for the paid users. Dont bother remembering your last competition. It never happened. It was not your final Competition.

I thought the 5 contest levels were middle of the road and enjoyed them. I did'nt really like them untill I got them all soved though. Then I realized not everyone is interested in working out long brown solutions. I'm sure not. I did workout some nice designs for the contest.
I bet we see lots of solves posted before the contest ends

i have to agree. it's very nice to have more official levels but not all seem to have the highest standards (esp. "Projected" was not necessary)...ok, there are very nice ideas (Pit & Pendulum, Canyon, Ack and Forth, even Chiminchigas for example) but the levels could have been made with more love for details...e.g. smooth boarders, dynamic objects not starting IN the ground etc.

Also a level contest would have been great to see all those great ideas sleeping in the dark...

but: it is how it is and i think it is good (though it could have been better...)

Yes, My main concerns were the levels and the scrolling/zooming as well as designs wouldn't load. But other than that, I can tell it will be a real success when they manage too kill all the bugs n

I hate the new interface. I already have an iPod touch so I won't do Fantastic Contest. Nothing in the new site is better.

Here's some advice for FC: "If something works, don't try to fix it."

Glad to hear most of you like the new interface. Integrating the FCR into the site to make level browsing so much easier was our primary concern.

I like it, but you got some glitches that need fixing.

About the contest. I don't even care that I may win an ipod touch, I'm just glad for the challenge of five more levels to beat.

Hey weasel, you know how we have to add qa. to the links to designs, right? Well, whenever I click on one of those "fixed links", my browser (Internet Explorer) shows up the website as this:

Is there something wrong on my end, or is it something with your servers? It might be that darn parental control, but the regular website (http://www.fantasticcontraption.com) come up perfectly fine. The game won't load on these qa. links either. Weird...
Edit: The links are fixed so qa. is not needed, so my computer will let me see them.

look at the top, were it says ' some content may be blocked

I can't because I'm not administrator and my parents want it on. I'll ask them if they can tell the computer to always allow http://www.fantasticcontraption.com.

Ah! The links are fixed now so you don't have to worry anymore. (YOu don't have to use the qa. links anymore.)

It was always working for me. (the mouse wheel).
Also, when is the designs permissions going to be fixed in the FCR?
