Perspective

Postby zhyrek on Sat Oct 09, 2010 10:51 pm

Ok, just came up with a question that might trip your sense of perspective, and hopefully your creativity too.

Pretend that you are the leader of an infinitely (or near infinitely) advanced inter-galactic empire, with HUGE resourses at your command, what would you do/build/create that is worthy of your (near) infinite civilization

Be aware that this is on an IPECAC scale. Ringworlds? Boring. Dyson spheres? Too easy. (If you really want you can build that, but you'd probably need A LOT of other things to make it interesting)

Think of something worthy ;)

I'll play by the rules :)

Well.. first i would use my approaching infinitely advanced societies' technology to collect and allign billions of hypergiant stars with the highest luminosity and largest diameter i could find. then i would set up a series of gravity "pins" to hold them in place where i want, similar to fc pins :) of course the technology is so advanced the stars are able to be placed next to each other while maintaining the normal atrubutes of stars. i would then continue on to write "rlbabits rulez" in three dimensional letters and various other things with a font size of 72^99999999999999^99999999999999 in times new roman ;) people would not likely forget me :P my name would be seen from every area in the galaxy by fellow fcers.

then i would take lukasran's brain and put it in my head, and continue on to think of an even more creative thing to do :D

You know what I would do? Bring back old topics that haven't been used for 11 days. Oh wait, I am doing that right now.

Also, I would construct a massive colliseum where my loyal BoredDudians can witness genetically engineered Land-Sharks the size of the empire state building battle to the death! They would have arms in which they could wield a giant Jelly-Filled donuts to beat eachother with! It would be so amusing...

But YOU weren't the one creating those constellations ;)
And you DO realize that 72^99999999999999^99999999999999 size font would require him to scrap some googleplex ^ googleplex stars JUST to create the basic shape of it. That would require major multiverse hacking and would definitely get a gold star.

And gravity pins are definitely the most creative thing ive heard so far from anyone :P

But... Land sharks... With jelly donuts... It's the ultimate entertainment!
I'll show you! I'll make a colliseum with genetically engineered land sharks wielding jelly-filled donuts fighting!
And it will be better than your stupid constellations! Oh wait... I don't think we have that technology yet...

A colliseum that fits empire state building sized sharks fighting would easily be smaller than a planet

Doesn't give nearly as much WOW factor as a massive constelation that created your name ;)

Well I will carve every rocky planet in the galaxy into the shape of my head. I will throw all the moons of those planets out of their orbit, to prevent tidle affect. Planets will also be painted to match the exact color of my face.

Nice, but what about smashing all the planets into one SUPERplanet, and then having one, HUGE carving of your face?

How about this: I will find pulsars that make a rotation exactly every 1 minute, space them 1 mile away from eachother (Using some forcefield to keep them from touching) and I will make sure they exploded at just the right time that way they can play my 55 second national anthem of the BoredDude Empire. It starts to go, stops for 5 seconds, and repeats! Cosmic music! Since they are so close to eachother, their beats will not sound delayed do to light speed. People will not have trouble remembering my national anthem again!

I would use a large planet, about, like jupiter, except solid, and with the super advanced techno, I'd make the gravity that of earth's. I would then replace the crust bit by bit with glass. I would leave one hole, in which we would slowly dig up the planet, while using a force field to keep it stable. Once there was only gals, I would seal the glass. We would teleport in, and using another super advanced techno, I would make it so you could stand on the inside, with the same gravity of earths. I would then build a gigantic city along the bottom, and in the middle, create a statue of me, and a weather generator, so it can be a snow globe, or a rain globe, or a fog globe etc.

What about galactic worlds, like my less civilized one, that are parallel to your star formation. All we see is a really bright line in the sky. We call it "The Great Crease"
