I cant really compete with 36 pieces... that wouldnt be monstrous enough...

Maybe a 60 piece max per side rule is needed?

(as i understand it there is a 120 piece maximum)

I had to battle the piece limit on this one.

The huge amount of pieces was part of my strategy, but oh well.

I like what you did there going with the overhead. Much simpler than what I did.
Sorry for the simple contraction on this, I am working on a Jenny v2 ATM. I would face it vs your contraption when it's done but the thing is I already started working on it in another save and I don't think there's a way to combine my new Jenny with yours.

I'll post it when it's done, in the meanwhile feel free to kick the butt of this contraption ;]

I got a test coming up so I can't work on the next version of Jenny atm. I am very excited about the concept of a contraption that steals the ball before it even touches the top of the barrier. I think a solution of this sort will be hard to beat, at least require a very specific counter-gladiator to beat. Though it is extremely hard to execute. Especially with only 60 pieces and some of the unfortunate bugs in the engine (If a rope gets pulled too fast it might break, if it is pulled around a hindge it can cut clean through the hindge, etc).
Eventually I want to build the ultimate gladiator, one that will be near unbeatable. That is still a long way to go though.

Ill work on it some more when RL permits.

Presenting Jenny v2.
60 pieces.

The rolling effect on the ball is what I aimed for initially, I believe that is definitely the way to go in future models. She got more power than v1 allowing the lift of a full size ramp before the ball touchdowns. She is still vulnerable to wall shove interruptions, but if I can further increase the lever strength and deployment speed in future versions, then I suspect I can build a model that's only beatable by air to air combat tactics, effectively rendering nearly all previous gladiators obsolete. That's my current goal.
