While I thought the wheels would definitely make it look cooler, I wasn't sure it would help with throwing distance. Interestingly, when I locked the wheels so they didn't turn, it actually doesn't throw as far, so it seems that you are correct good sir.

updated, the string is meant to swing to gain extra momentum.
unfortunately the release is not meant to go back wards, causing it losing momentum and not releasing it at correct volecity.
adding an anchor to the tip doesnt work too, as the arm will be too heavy
