Simplest Badge Records

As the badge challenges slowly diminish, we can always try to do them in even fewer pieces ;) This can also serve as a good reference tool to figure out what badge combinations haven't been done yet - Look through this giant list for something you think you might want to try :)

Badges:
- Solved :badgeless: (if it gets no other badges)
- Champion :champ: (stays in goal)
- Boomerang :boomerang: (gets to goal, returns to workspace and stays there)
----- Infinite boomerangs :champ: :boomerang: (continues the boomerang "forever" - over 20x)
----- Multiple Boomerangs (the largest one is used if there is no infinite boomerang in existence)
- Clean :clean: (leaves no contraption parts in the level except possibly the ball)
- Sweep :sweep: (cleans out all the orange objects, not necessarily including parts of the contraption)
- Green :green: (uses no powered wheels)
----- Brown :brown: (uses no wheels at all)
---------- Water :water: (Uses only water rods)
----- Unconnected Image (no parts are connected to anything)
- Rodless :rodless: (uses only wheels)
- Pilot Image (ball cannot touch any surfaces or dynamic (orange) objects, this also applies after it achieves victory)

If you can do a lesser amount of combinations but with a smaller amount of parts, that is to be included. If you can do more combinations (or different ones) but with more parts, that is to be included as well. (Ask if you don't understand)

Updating Notes: This thread takes a HUGE amount of work to update, and I always seem to make mistakes. If I've left someone out of the credits for a design, if a design piece count is incorrect, if a design number is incorrect or links to the wrong design, if the designs are not in order from lowest to highest piece count, if I missed a design, if I made any other typo, or if I made a different mistake, please let me know! Thank you :)

Elimination Notes: I will disqualify the ones that sometimes work and sometimes not, and ones that have an exploding glitch, a black hole glitch, a pinned rod, a "water catapult," or any other glitch not originally intended in the game. If there are two different solutions with the same part number, the lowest ID number will be given credit (and the one with the lowest tick count will be listed as a tick tweaker). Also, the ones that do virtually nothing for over 10 minutes or so (about 13k ticks on my computer) will be disqualified, unless they were the only one that achieved that combination of badges. (Note that these are standards that are usually true, but the final call is up to me)

Clean/Sweep Notes: Note that the sweep badge is only used when there actually are orange objects in the level.

Boomerang Notes:
I went with the idea that all boomerangs must be "champions" in the work area. (not including infinite/multiple boomerangs) If it repeats a boomerang for 20 cycles, it will be considered an infinite boomerang. (it must be the simplest >20x to get on the record scoreboard) Infinite Boomerangs are shown as " :champ: :boomerang: " If there is no Infinite Boomerang created with that badge combination, the highest Multiple Boomerang will go up. (regardless of piece count, unless they have the same number of repetitions) Note that Infinite Boomerangs with a lower piece count will not knock out normal boomerangs.

Pilot Notes:
Exceptions for Pilots are as follows:
- Back and Forth: The ball cannot touch any surface other than the part of the surface it's sitting on that is outside the workspace. (the light blue part)
- Four Balls: The balls cannot touch any surface other than the one they begin on.

- Floored (ball must touch a green/orange surface at all times)
- Safety (nothing can fall off)
- Goal Champion (hides the word "goal" in the goal)
- Advanced/Expert (whole contraption ends in workspace/goal)
- Unattached (ball not connected to anything)

Ok first am allowed to tweak designs from others to get a smaller piece count?
Also for a Boomerang the Badge thread says nothing about the piece staying in the work area after it is done. Just says it has to come back. Am I reading that correct?

It shouldn't. I didn't touch Philnorv's design. It does take it a little while. And it does work on my screen. I'll screen shot it if you would like.

EDIT: I apologize I had the ramp under the wheel of the little car taking it to the top. I edited it so it works correctly now.

weasel should clarify that. The idea is that it's a reverse of a champion - it has to stay there indefinitely.

Time isn't a factor. The ball eventually ends up outside the contraption with it collapsed on the ground (I don't know what happens in between, I just let it run).

Nope it works now that I fixed it. I have had it running for a few minutes so that I could see the ball sit in the build area without moving. It goes back and forth a few times but in this picture it is moving ever so slow to the left and I'm sure it will come to a complete stop up against my ramp.

As I figured, the 3-piece design itself doesn't work. It gets ever-so close to getting the ball over, but then the small stick slips, falls through the long stick as the ball is too far up to stop it, and it all falls down. It does this on both IE6 and Firefox, but I'm using XP so that is likely what's making the difference.

You are correct about tweaking from others (it's too hard for me to find the maker of the idea and unlikely it'll be accurate)

But not about the boomerang:

That design takes forever to stop moving, and because of my 10-minute limit I'm saying you need to make one that stops in the workspace for at least 10 minutes without rolling for over 10 minutes before that happens.

The ball makes about 3 passes from my ramp to the right back to the ramp and this final one it has been inside the work area for over 15 minutes and is still there. It is moving but ever so slowly. Kinda like some of the other boomerang levels. I'll let you all know how long it is in there.

Just over 25 minutes for me. I think that should count.
