Reset Problems

I'm having big problems trying to get back in the game.
I had to wipe my system, after backing up data and now it won't let me back on.

What do you mean by

You can't log in? Do you have a paid account but now you can't access paid content?

If you have deleted your flash cookies (which a system wipe would do), your progress through the free levels is gone.

Did you try resetting your password? Your forum password is not necessarily the same as your FC password.

Edit: Nevermind it appears there's a problem with the password reset.

Exactly. I have a paid account and can't login. I'm aware of cookies tossing the startup levels ,but, it also doesn't recognize me.

Are we in danger of viruses on the game currently?

In the game, definitely not. I think there were issues with certain ads leading to bad, spammy sites, but this site itself is secure as far as I know.

Try doing a password reset and checking your email. Your g****@msn.com email. The reset password won't refresh to let you know the email was sent, but it is being sent as far as I can tell.

Once you do the password reset you can change your pw to something more recognizable.

Be sure to check your spam box. Hotmail/MSN accounts regularly put our password change into the spam folder.

Now it looks like it's going to let me in to the game, but when it is done loading the page, all I have are blank boxes. It starts out blue boxes, shows the ad, then the boxes turn white with no play button in the middle of the bubbles...just a white blank box

Hm. If the game is just a white blank box, it could be a few things:

- Ad blocking software has blocked the game from view. Try using a different browser or checking your antivirus software, to see if it's blocked our game.
- The game download has been corrupted. Try force-refreshing (depends on your browser, CTRL-F5 seems to do it for me)
- You aren't playing on fantasticcontraption.com (silly of me to mention, but JUST IN CASE)

I have a 1% improvement with that link Weasel...Now my box has a blue background I am really trying hard to play, but am going down the the proverbial rat hole ('pounding sand down a rat hole') and feel like I will never play my favorite game again........

I have even tried going to levels, and when I choose one and see it and click run or play this level, it goes to the blank box again?????

When the background is blank like that it means it's not loading properly. That is most commonly caused by an adblocker of some sort. You might have to try disabling your antivirus/antispyware stuff. Can you try loading the game from another location? Maybe work, school, a different computer, a friend's house?

Also, try loading in a different browser. FireFox has some built-in ad blocking stuff; IE uses a different set. Also try downloading Google Chrome, it's quick and easy.

I'm still stuck...I'm going to try to download the Opera browser and see what happens. I lost a lot of stuff last week when I had a repair service wipe my hard drive, and settings of course, so I am on a quest to get them back AND play FANTASTIC CONTRAPTIONS!!

Hey Weasel!! You guessed it ...the OPERA BROWSER did it for me..It took a while, like it was sorting out all of the crap I've been going through, but I'm finally IN!!

Wellll, it was nice to play again, for a while.

It won't let me play AGAIN!! I get to the blue background where the bubbles are supposed to show and they never do.

It just keeps saying for me to 'Get the newest Flash Verion and then come back to play'
I have done that...5 Times... and it still won't let me play!! HELP!

Can you try playing in a different browser? (try IE, and one other one). Your computer installs a different version of flash for IE than it does for the rest of your system.

Also make sure you are logged into the website as well as the actual game—that might fix some issues.
