How to handle the new players/ improve skill of FC.

Postby tberrysonn on Mon Dec 05, 2011 2:24 pm

So i'm really pumped about FC growing first of all. It's been sorta slow ever since i joined and its really growing now that the school year began =p

With this bigger crop of people playing, it's getting sort of hectic... the new guys are posting like 6 levels every hour and its getting sort of crazy.

Any ideas of how to deal with it? Don't think we'll get them all to the forums.

yes
JUST DONT PRESS THE "PLAYER LEVELS" BUTTON AND I GUARANTEE you're never going to see them (the new people never visit the forum)

Well what i was alluding to is the fact that they could be improved skill wise, like i didn't start brown before i was encouraged to do it a long time ago and now i'm decent at it so, i was thinking more livestream on how to do the basics? That's where it started with me. I think it'd be pretty sweet ( and i obviously DONT know how it was before) if we had a young crop of players learning and eventually getting to be good at the game.

Get what i mean?

so...
1.InXile creates FC2
2.most people go trom FC1 to FC2
3.those people realise that FC2 sucks
The question is why don't those people come back to FC1?

FC2 wasn't bad, it just wasn't what people were looking for.

People were expecting a huge revival of FC with omgbbq awesome stuff, but mainly just got a reskinned FC1

I don't know why you guys are picking on Therrysonn. I personaly dont think that FC2 killed the forums. For me, it was all off the god damn loading and saveing issues that killed me. There is only so many times you can stand losing an hours worth of work. If InXile fixed their god damn server, more people would stay.

The loading and saving issues were an indirect result of FC2 becoming the "main" FC

That's probably true...

I played part 2 for about 10 seconds and knew that it was inferior.

If the magnets were normal sized wheels, only red/blue and magnetic, I probably would have liked it better.

But they weren't.
