I had found that if I clicked on the link...

from this forum, it wouldn't redirect you and there would be no ads.

Because that's the link to the actual swf flash file that is the game. That link leads directly to the game, not to fantasticcontraption.com which is just the website that displays the game.

AD-FREE CODE IS NOW UP!

There is a .SWF change as well as .HTML changes, so you may have to clear your cached browser files and will definitely need to reload.

If you are registered, your ads should dissappear after you browse to a level or two, or upon signing in (try signing out and back in if you are impatient).

If it doesn't work for you, it's because you didn't clear your cache properly. Also note that sometimes your ISP (InternetServiceProvider) will cache files on their end, you may need to contact them to get that cleaned up.

Let's see how long we can go without saying "it doesn't work for me duurrr"!!!

Hey thanks for removing the ads. I think that you guys should still consider having some ads though if it makes you alot of money. Just make sure they are non invasive adds. The reason everyone hated them was because they would be popups, and things that were borderline obscene (this is a game for all ages).

I'm sure you guys worked hard to make the game so obviously you deserve something besides your user's happiness in return.

Also I'm guessing sales of dropped when you had the annoying ads but they probably wouldn't drop if there were just a few non annoying ads (especially if you promised users there would be no ads if you pay ).

They still have ads for the non-paying users, so yes, they are still making some $$ (I hope).

What about the "freeloaders" traffic, as it was elegantly put ? I'm curious, did the ads have an impact on the number of 'free' players, and the number of new players, or the rate of increase ?

Considering all the factors, we made the right choice for the public as balanced by our needs economically. If you'd like the full scope of details and graphs and usage data and projections I'm sure you could hire me as a consultant for a few thousand (beers).

Whilst I understand that FCR was an independent fansite and nothing to do with you, getting the basic functionality back (which sk89q said took only about an hour to code) would be really helpful.

There should not be any porn ads. If you can, please get me the URL the ad points to and save a copy of the ad (hit PRTSCR on a PC and PASTE into MSPAINT) so I can ban it from out network.
